Ingredients For hot fudge pudding cake

  • BATTER
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 3 Tbsp
    hershey's cocoa, divided
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1/3 c
    butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 c
    pecan pieces
  • TOPPING
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    light brown sugar, packed
  • 4 Tbsp
    hersey's cocoa
  • 1 3/4 c
    hot water
  • GARNISH
  • whipped cream
  • ice cream

How To Make hot fudge pudding cake

    Heat oven to 350 degrees F.

    BATTER In a medium bowl, combine 3/4 cup sugar, 3 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder and salt. Blend in milk, melted butter, vanilla, and nuts. Beat until smooth. Pour batter into a square 8" x 8" x 2" pan and set aside.

    TOPPING In a small bowl, combine remaining 1/2 cup sugar, brown sugar, and remaining 4 tablespoons cocoa. Mix until blended. Sprinkle mixture evenly over batter. Pour hot water over top. Do NOT stir.

    Bake 40 minutes or until center is almost set. Let stand 15 minutes, spoon into dessert dishes and garnish with whipped cream or ice cream.
