Ingredients For cranberry bread pudding

1/2loaf french bread, torn into pieces (use half of a 16 oz loaf)

1 ccranberries, coarsely chopped

1 cpecans, chopped (or walnuts)

2 cwhole milk

2 chalf and half
-
3eggs, beaten

1 cbrown sugar, firmly packed

1/2 cgranulated sugar
-
1/4 cdark rum (optional or can use rum extract)

1 Tbsppure vanilla extract
-
maple syrup (i prefer a custard sauce)
How To Make cranberry bread pudding

1Combine bread, cranberries, and pecans in a large bowl; toss gently.

2Combine milk and half and half and pour over bread mixture. Cover and chill for 1 hour.

3Combine eggs, both sugars, rum and vanilla; stir well. Add egg mixture to chilled bread mixture, stirring gently to combine. Pour into a greased 13x9x2 inch baking dish.

4Bake, uncovered, at 325 degrees F. for 1 hour or until set and lightly browned. Let cool in pan 5 minutes. Cut into squares, serve warm with maple syrup or sauce of your choice.
