This recipe was given to me by my husband's Tia Carmen from Texas. It is a little less sweet than most pecan pie recipes and has been a hit for the last 10 years at our house.

Ingredients For tia carmen's pecan pie

  • 1 c
    pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 1/4 c
    pecans
  • 3
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch
    salt
  • 3 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • 1
    pie crust shell

How To Make tia carmen's pecan pie

    Mix in a bowl maple syrup, sugar, eggs,vanilla, butter and salt.

    Add pecans and mix

    Pour into pie shell
  • 4
    Bake in preheated oven at 375 for 15 minutes then lower to 350 for an additional 30 minutes. Check with knife to see if done cooking.
