Ingredients For sweet tea pie

  • CRUST
  • 6 oz
    softened cream cheese
  • 1 c
    unsalted butter
  • 2 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • FILLING
  • 1 c
    butter, unsalted
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 6
    egg yolks
  • 3/4 c
    strong brewed tea
  • 1 tsp
    lemon zest
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1 1/2 c
    cornmeal
  • 1 dash
    salt

How To Make sweet tea pie

    CRUST In a mixing bowl beat the cream cheese, 1 cup butter until fluffy. Add the flour and mix until dough forms a ball. press dough into 9 inch pie pan. Chill for 30 minutes.

    Filling Cream 1 cup butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg yolks mix well. Slolwy add the tea, lemon zest and lemon juice scrape down sides of bowl with a rubber spatula

    Add 2 tablespoons flour, salt and cornmeal and mix well. Pour into pie crust.

    Bake at 350 F for 45 minutes
