You won't believe how delicious, easy, and inexpensive this dessert is! My Mom, Doris St. John got it from a newspaper many years ago. She has passed away, but along with many more great recipes she gave me, she left this this most excellent one.

1 cwalnuts (chopped)

16finely crushed saltine crackers

1 tspbaking powder

11. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

22. Beat egg whites and vanilla until foamy.

33. Gradually add 1 cup sugar, beating to stiff peaks.

44. Mix together nuts, crackers and baking powder.
