Ingredients For pie pastry

3/4 cvegetable shortening

1 Tbspmilk

2 csifted flour

1/4 cwater, boiling

1 tspsalt
How To Make pie pastry

1put shortening in medium bowl. add water and milk. break up shortening with a fork. tilt bowl and beat with fork in quick across the bowl strokes until mixture is thick and holds soft peaks when fork is lifted.

2sift flour and salt onto shortening mixture. with vigourous round the bowl strokes, stir quickly, forming a dough that clings together and cleans the bowl.

3pick up the dough and work into a smooth, flat round, then divide in half and roll and cut for a 2 crust pie.
