I got this recipe from a magazine years ago tweeked it to my taste. I really like it because its really simple to make. Enjoy.

Ingredients For pear and cheddar pie

6 lgripe pears(peeled and thinly sliced)

1/2 csugar1

1 Tbspcornstarch

1/8 tspsalt

1unbaked pie shell
- TOPPPING

1/2 cshredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cflour
-
1/4 csugar
-
1/4 tspsalt

1/4 cbutter
How To Make pear and cheddar pie

1In a large bowl combine pears, sugar, cornstarch, and salt.

2Toss gently to coat pour into pie shell.

3Combine cheese, sugar, flour, and salt. Using pastry cutter cut butter into above mixture until crumbly.

4Sprinkle over filling.

5Bake in 425 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until crust is brown and cheese is melted.
