This recipe was shared with me by a fellow co worker...Was so easy to make...I added the cinnamon touch to the top...was delicious might I add. Enjoy! My photos

Ingredients For pat's peach pie crumble

  • 3/4 c
    flour
  • 1/4 c
    cold butter, cut into 6 pieces
  • 1/3 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 1
    egg white, whipped until foamy
  • 6 c
    fresh peeled and sliced peaches - i didn't have so used thawed frozen - am sure would be even better with fresh
  • 1 - 9 inch
    unbaked pie crust
  • sprinkle
    of cinnamon

How To Make pat's peach pie crumble

    Preheat oven to 375 degree F. Have prepared crust ready.

    In a small bowl, whisk egg white until frothy. Using a pastry brush, brush the inside of the pie crust with the egg white. Set aside.

    In my food processor I added the flour, sugars, butter and pulsed until it formes fine crumbs.

    Place 2/3 the crumbs in the bottom of the prepared pie crust.

    Add the peaches, spreading out evenly. Sprinkle the remaining crumbs over the peaches and sprinkle with cinnamon.

    Place pie in oven and bake for 40 - 45 minutes or until bubbly and peaches are tender.

    Cool and serve alone or with a big scoop of ice cream! ** When I posted this recipe...I hadn't tried it yet, was new to me and we weren't trying it until the next day. So,I wanted to give you all some feedback on it. In my opinion it was delicious...it reminded me of a peach custard pie in a way. I do think though, that the crumb mixture would be just as good mixed in with the peaches, just as well as on the bottom of the crust. I'm going to make it again and try it that way...will let you know which I like better...very tasty pie!!
