I found my thrill!!!! :D Try this easy semi-homemade pie! You can certainly use Your own homemade pie crust. This just makes life a bit simpler. The orange in this recipe brings this pie to a whole new level! Orange and blueberry all the way!!!!

Ingredients For orange burst blueberry pie

1 boxrefrigerated pie crusts (2 shells)

3/4 csugar

3 Tbspcornstarch

5 cblueberries

1/4 tspcinnamon

zest & juice of one orange

1egg white
-
1 Tbspwater

2 Tbspsugar (used orange sugar)
How To Make orange burst blueberry pie

1Heat oven to 425. In bowl combine sugar and cornstarch stir together, add blueberries and mix well. Add orange juice and zest stir in and let fruit set up for ten minutes.

2Place one pie crust on bottom of pie pan. Add bowl of blueberries and top with other crust. Pinch sides together. Make slits on top.

3Mix egg white and water and brush on pie, sprinkle with sugar. Place tinfoil strips along pie edges to stop from burning removing 10min before baking time over. Bake 45-50min till golden brown. Let cool two hours before slicing into. I make lemon and orange sugar. In processor add cup sugar and two tablespoons zest of choice and process. Great for baking and teas.
