Ingredients For old-fashioned apple pie

3/4 csugar

2 Tbspflour (heaping)

1 tspcinnamon

1/8 tspnutmeg

7 lgapples ( sliced i use johnathan)

2 Tbspbutter

1/4 tspsalt
How To Make old-fashioned apple pie

1Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

2Mix lightly through apples.

3Heap in 9" pastry lined pie plate. Dot with butter.

4Adjust top crust and flute edges; cut vents.( Before putting top crust on take finger and dab some cool water on bottom crust edge this will help seal the top and bottom crust.)

5Sprinkle a little cinnamon and sugar on top crust.

6Bake in hot oven (425) degrees 50- to 60 minutes, or until crust is browed and apples are tender.
