JUST FOUND THIS RECIPE AMONG MY MANY RECIPES. THIS WAS GIVEN TO ME BY A NEIGHBOR NICOLE MANY MANY YEARS AGO. SHE SAID IT WAS VERY EASY TO MAKE, THO I NEVER TRIED IT. ANYTIME I WANTED A PIE OR PIE CRUST MADE HER DAUGHTERS ALWAYS MADE THEM FOR ME. THEY DID VERY WELL MAKING THEM. THEY SAID THE SECRET IS TO WORK FAST AND NOT HANDLE THE DOUGH TOO MUCH.

1 ccrisco [shortening]- room temperature

5/6 Tbspice water
How To Make nicole's pie crust

1THIS MAKES 2 SINGLE CRUSTS OR FOR A DOUBLE CRUST PIE.

2MIX FLOUR AND SALT TOGETHER.

3CUT IN SHORTENING WITH A PASTRY CUTTER UNTIL SMALL PEAS ARE FORMED.

4SPRINKLE WITH 5/6 TBSP. ICE WATER; GATHER DOUGH UP FAST INTO A BALL---DO NOT HANDLE IT TOO MUCH.

5DIVIDE IN HALF; ROLL OUT QUICKLY BETWEEN WAX PAPER.
