Mom's Pumpkin pies were full of eye appeal and taste. Memories of Thanksgiving and times during my school years when I was asked to contribute a pie for a bake sale come flooding back. Thanksgiving wasn't complete without mom's Pumpkin pie. At school, I can still see all those other Pumpkin pies brought in by my classmates. Their's just didn't say yummy in my tummy. Mom did me proud with her baking of those pies.

Ingredients For nanny darling's pumpkin pie filling

  • 1 # 2 can
    pumpkin
  • 2 c
    milk
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    butter, melted
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    cloves
  • 1/4 tsp
    alspice
  • 1 tsp
    ginger
  • 1 Tbsp
    molasses
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 4
    eggs

How To Make nanny darling's pumpkin pie filling

  • 1
    Combine pumpkin,milk,salt,melted butter,cinnamon,cloves,alspice,ginger,molasses and sugar. Beat 4 eggs and fold into mixture last. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes then at 350 for the remaining time. Usually 45-60 minutes or until when a knife is inserted it comes out clean. This filling makes enough for 2 pies.
