This is a unique pie. I got this recipe from a friend who always makes this at Easter time. It is very good and I hope you enjoy it.

Ingredients For japanese raisin pie

  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 2
    eggs, well beaten
  • 1 stick
    butter, melted
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c
    raisins
  • 1/2 c
    pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    coconut, shredded
  • 1 tsp
    vinegar, white
  • 1
    8 inch pie crust

How To Make japanese raisin pie

    preheat oven to 325 degrees
  • 2
    line a pie plate with your favorite pie pastry- homemade or store bought. this pie will be baked in an uncooked pie crust.

    In a large bowl, mix butter and sugar. Add eggs.
  • 4
    Add raisins, coconut and pecans and beat until well blended.
  • 5
    mix in vanilla and vinegar and pour mixture into unbaked pie crust.

    bake 40-45 minutes until set.
