I came up with this pie last year for the Fourth of July cookout.

Ingredients For chocolate-banana pie.

    ripe bananas
  • 1 box
    jell-o instant banana pudding
  • 1 box
    jell-o instant chocolate pudding
  • 1 can
    rediwhip
  • 1
    graham cracker crust
  • 4 c
    milk, divided

How To Make chocolate-banana pie.

    In a bowl, prepare the chocolate pudding according to directions. Pour into pie crust. Let sit for 10 minutes.

    Peel and slice bananas. Discard ends. Carefully layer the slices over the chocolate pudding. Reserve 8 banana slices. Dip those 8 slices in lemon juice to keep from turning dark.

    Prepare banana pudding according to directions. Pour over the banana slices. Cover and chill for 1 hour.

    Decorate the top of the pie with the reserved banana slices and whipped cream.
