apple custard pie
This was my grandmothers recipe....she would bake these the night before. We would always come home from church and have a big meal.

Ingredients For apple custard pie

1unbaked 9" pie crust

6 capples slices (4 or 5 cooking apples)

3 Tbspregular all-purpose flour

1/2 tspsalt

1/4 tspcimmamon

1 cgranulated sugar

2eggs
-
3/4 clight cream or milk

dashnutmeg
How To Make apple custard pie

1Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In a large bowl, sprinkle apple slices with flour, salt, cinnamon, and 3/4 cup sugar. Toss until well coated.

2Place apple slices in overlapping circles in pie crust. In a small bowl, beat together eggs, light cream, 1/4 cup sugar and nutmeg. Pour over apple slices.

3Cover loosely with foil. Bake 45 minutes, remove foil, and continue to bake 30 minutes longer or until knife inserted in custard comes out clean.
