A neighbor gave me this recipe not long ago. She brought me this pie when I moved in six years ago and I've been after her for the recipe ever since.

Ingredients For alabama pie

  • 1 c
    corn syrup, light
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/8 tsp
    salt
  • 3
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 c
    chopped pecans
  • 1
    uncooked pie shell

How To Make alabama pie

    Mix first seven ingredients together in a large bowl. Pour into an unbaked pie shell.

    Bake in a 300-degree oven on the center rack for about 1 hour.

    You may serve this with whipped cream or without.
