Another of my favorite cookie bars for the holidays is Pecan Pie Bars. Perfect to fix as a gift for a teacher, friend, or co-worker.

Ingredients For pecan pie bars (pictured on right)

2 cunsifted flour

1/2 cpowdered sugar

1 ccold margarine or butter
-
1 can(14-oz) eagle brand sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)

1egg
-
1 tspvanilla extract
-
1 pkg(6-oz) almond brickle chips
-
1 cchopped pecans
How To Make pecan pie bars (pictured on right)

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees (325 for glass pan).

2In medium bowl, combine flour and sugar; cut in margarine until crumbly. Press firmly on bottom of 13x9 inch baking pan. Bake 15 minutes.

3Meanwhile, in medium bowl, beat sweetened condensed milk, egg and vanilla. Stir in chips and pecans. Spread evenly over crust. Bake 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool. Cut into bars. Store covered in refrigerator.
