What a yummy little treat! I made half of the batch into popcorn balls and the other half I put into a big bowl. The Test Kitchen gobbled this up fast. Great for a movie night or party.

Ingredients For maybelle connealy carmel popcorn

  • 6 qt
    popped, salted corn
  • 2 stick
    oleo
  • 1/2 c
    white syrup
  • 2 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda

How To Make maybelle connealy carmel popcorn

  • 1
    Take oleo, white syrup and brown sugar.
  • 2
    Mix and bring to boil stirring. Cook 6 min. on low heat stirring.

    Take off stove and add cream of tartar, salt and soda. Stir until foamy.

    Pour on popped corn. Mix. Spread out on greased cookie sheet.

    Put in oven at 200F for 1 hour, stir occasionally.

    Press into balls if you desire.
