Ingredients For jam bars

1 1/2 cflour

1 tspbaking powder

1/2 tspsalt

1/2 coats

1 cbrown sugar, packed

1 3/4 stickbutter at room temperature

1 jar10-12 oz. apricot or raspberry preserves
How To Make jam bars

1Mix all ingredients except the preserves. Press one half of this mixture into a buttered 8 inch square pan or a small rectangular pan.

2Spread with a 10-12 ounce jar of preserves

3Sprinkle second half of the mixture over the top of the preserves and pat lightly.

4Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes or until light brown. Let cool completely and then cut into squares. Taste yummy with a scoop of vanilla ice cream when still warm from the oven.
