Ingredients For diy cinnamon chips (sallye)

2/3 cgranulated sugar

3 Tbspgraound cinnamon

2 Tbspvegetable shortening

2 Tbsplight corn syrup
How To Make diy cinnamon chips (sallye)

1Preheat oven to 200º F Line a baking sheet with parchment paper Spray paper with no-stick cooking spray

2Place all ingredients in a medium sized mixing bowl, and mix tugether until totally combined and crumbly

3Spread the mixture out on the parchment paper, flattening out with another sheet of parchment paper or the back of a spatula until you have formed an even rectangle about 1/4" thick

4Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes, or until the mixture is hot and melted together. It shouldn't be crisp. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely

5Using a pizza wheel, slice the cooled block into small square chips about 1/4" square. Store in an airtight container in pantry until ready to use. These should keep for a long period of time if kept in airtight container.
