This recipe sounds a lot like the one that my mother made with many different types of fruit.

Ingredients For peach cobbler

1 stickbutter

1 1/2 csugar

1 cflour

1 1/2 tspbaking powder

3/4 cmilk

30 ozsliced peaches in syrup

1 tspcinnamon

1/3 tspnutmeg
How To Make peach cobbler

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter in 9x13-inch casserole dish.

2Separate half cup sugar, all of cinnamon and nutmeg. Separate peaches from syrup.

3Mix one cup sugar and the other dry ingredients together in a bowl. Stir in milk and syrup from peaches.

4Put peaches in casserole with melted butter. Pour batter over the top of peaches. Mix cinnamon, nutmeg, and 1/2 cup sugar mixture and sprinkle over top of batter. Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour until top crust is golden brown.
