When you're not in the mood to make pie dough an Apple Crisp will always do in a pinch. Sweet tender apples and a crispy topping go great with some vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!

Ingredients For easy apple crisp

  • 8
    golden delicious apples
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 1
    rounded teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • topping
  • 1
    rounded cup packed light brown sugar
  • 3/4
    rounded cup flour
  • 1 c
    old fashioned oats (not quick-cooking)
  • 1
    rounded tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1
    stick butter, melted

How To Make easy apple crisp

    Preheat oven to 375. Spray 13x9 baking pan with non-stick spray. Peel, core and slice apples.

    In medium bowl, combine sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and salt. Sprinkle over cut apples in baking pan. Dot with butter.

    In a food processor or mini chopper. combine brown sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon and salt. Pulse processor until mixture is small but not fine.

    Mix with melted butter until it reaches a crumbly consistency. Sprinkle mixture evenly on top of apples. Bake until apples are tender and topping is golden brown; about 1 hour. Let rest for 10-15 minutes before serving.
