Slices of sweet and tart plums are arranged on top of the crust. The buttery crust mixture is also used as a crumble sprinkled on top. Easy to make, this is a delicious and impressive summer dessert that can be made when plums are in season.

Ingredients For ali's plum tart

2 call-purpose flour

2/3 cchopped walnuts

3/4 cbrown sugar

1 1/2 stickcold butter, chopped into cubes

1 lgegg yolk

6 - 8plums, any kind or mixed
How To Make ali's plum tart

1Assemble ingredients. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Spray a pie plate or tart pan with cooking spray (or use a false-bottom tart pan).

2Put flour in a mixing bowl. Add nuts and brown sugar, and mix to combine.

3Add cold butter and the egg yolk. Mix to combine everything.

4Take 3/4 of the crumb mixture and press into the bottom and sides of the pan, leaving the bottom nice and smooth. Save the remaining mixture.

5Cut the plums in half and remove the pits. Cut into quarters (or sixths if very large).

6Place plums into the crust arranging them in a circular pattern.

7Sprinkle the remaining crust mixture on top of the fruit.

8Bake for 45 minutes or until the top crust is nicely browned.
