tropical oatmeal cookies
Everyone seems to love oatmeal cookies. We are fond of them so I decided to add some new flavors for a variety of tastes in the cookie. We really enjoyed them.

Ingredients For tropical oatmeal cookies

1 cbutter, softened

1 cbrown sugar, firmly packed

1/2 cgranulated sugar

2eggs

1 tsppure vanilla extract

1 1/2 call purpose flour

1/2 cpecans, chopped

1 tspcinnamon

1/2 tspsalt

1 tspbaking soda

1 tspbaking powder

3 cquaker oats

1/2 cchopped dates
-
1/2 ccoconut

1/2 cdried cranberries

glaze (optional)
How To Make tropical oatmeal cookies

1Heat oven to 350 degrees. Beat together butter and sugars until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt; add to egg mixture and mix well. Stir in oats, dates, coconut, pecans, and dried cranberries. Mix well with spoon.

2Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool 1 minutes on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack. Yield: Approximately 4 dozen.

3Glaze: Mix together 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar, 1 to 2 tablespoons of milk (add more if needed for drizzling consistency), 1/2 tsp. of vanilla. Drizzle on top of cookies.
