You can use raspberry, cherry, strawberry or any kind of preserves. Just don't use jelly-it's too runny.

Ingredients For tender apricot thumbprints

  • 4 oz
    cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/2 c
    butter, room temperature
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 1/4 c
    flour
  • 1/4 c
    apricot preserves

How To Make tender apricot thumbprints

    In the bowl of an electric mixer, beat cream cheese and butter on medium high 3 minutes, until light and fluffy. Add sugar and beat 1 minute.

    Gradually add flour, on low speed, and mix until combined. Cover and chill 2 hours.

    Scoop 2 Tablespoons at a time and place on baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Press thumb in the middle and fill with 1 teaspoon preserves. Bake 10 minutes at 350. Let set on baking sheet 10 minutes and remove to cooling rack.
