A girl friend gave me this recipe about 25 years ago. Very tasty. Easy to make.

Ingredients For tea time tassie

3 ozcream cheese, low-fat

1/2 cbutter
-
1 cflour sifted
- FOR FILLING

1 lgegg
-
3/4 cbrown sugar, lightly packed

1 Tbspbutter, softened
-
1 tspvanilla
-
2/3 cpecans, in pieces
How To Make tea time tassie

1Let cream cheese & butter soften at room temperature.

2Mix well, stir in flour. Chill overnight or 3-6 hours.

3Shape in 1 inch balls. Place in tiny ungreased muffin tins. Press to form sides & bottom of tin with tart press.

4When dough is ready, make Filling -Whisk 1 egg, 3/4 cup brown sugar, 1 Tablespoon soft butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Add 2/3 cup chopped pecans.

5Place teaspoon in each cup.

6Bake at 325 for 25-35 minutes or until filling is set. cool & remove from tins.
