My husbands grandmothers recipe and a family favorite.

Ingredients For spice cookies

  • 2 c
    light brown sugar
  • 1 c
    crisco
  • 2
    eggs
  • 3/4 c
    milk
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 1/4 tsp
    soda
  • 2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 3 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 3/4 - 1 c
    optional walnuts or raisins

How To Make spice cookies

  • 1
    Cream sugar,crisco ,eggs ,milk together
  • 2
    Then add in dry ingredients, Mix. You can also add chopped nuts,raisins
  • 3
    Drop by spoonful on to parchment covered cookie sheet or lightly greased.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 10 -12 minutes until edges are turning brown.

    When cool you can icing.
