These snowball cookies are a must for Christmas, New Year's, and weddings. They are delicious and are very easy to make. I usually double the recipe because they tend to disappear quickly.

Ingredients For snowball cookies

  • 2 stick
    butter
  • 2 1/4 c
    powdered sugar, divided
  • 2 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 1 Tbsp
    water
  • 2 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1 c
    chopped pecans

How To Make snowball cookies

    Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Using an electric hand mixer, cream the butter and 1/4 cup powdered sugar.

    Add vanilla, water, and flour.

    Mix well with a sturdy spoon.

    Stir in the pecans.

    Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls and place them on ungreased cookie sheets or cookie sheets lined with parchment paper.

    Bake at 300 degrees F for 25 to 30 minutes.

    Add the remaining 2 cups of powdered sugar to a shallow dish. Working quickly, roll in powdered sugar while still hot.

    Then roll in powdered sugar again. Store in an airtight container.
