Ingredients For snowball cookies

  • 3/4 c
    butter, softened
  • 1/4 c
    icing sugar/ powdered sugar
  • 1 c
    finely ground almonds
  • 2 c
    sifted all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    almond extract
  • 1 can
    drained maraschino cherries
  • dates can also be used

How To Make snowball cookies

  • 1
    Heat oven to 350. Cream butter, and add icing sugar, almond extract and cream till fluffy. Mix together flour, ground almonds,salt, and add to butter mix. Wrap one cherry with dough to form a small ball, rolling softly in your hand. Set cookies on sheet and bake for 20min. Roll in Icing sugar while warm
