This recipe started out as Trisha Yearwood's Snickerdoodles, but she uses half butter and half shortening. I like them better with all butter. My family eats these by the dozen.

Ingredients For snickerdoodles

1 cbutter softned

1 cwhite granulated sugar

2eggs

2 3/4 call purpose flour

2 tspcream of tartar

1 tspbaking soda

1/4 tspfine salt

2 Tbspgranulated sugar

2 tspcinnomon
How To Make snickerdoodles

1In a small bowl mix the cinnamon and the 2 tbsp of sugar and set aside

2Cream the eggs, sugar, and butter with a mixer until fluffy

3Sift the dry ingredients, flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt together

4Add the dry ingredients to the creamed egg, butter and sugar mixture

5Roll the balls in the small bowl of sugar and cinnamon

6Place the coated balls on a baking sheet ( I use parchment paper or a silicone mat)

7Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes (based on your oven) and let cookie cool on the cookie sheet on a rack for 3 minutes then move the cookies directly to a cooling rack for another 10 minutes.

8Store cookies in an air tight container
