Every snickerdoodle recipe I've found calls for cream of tartar; since this is an ingredient I do not normally have a use for, I was searching for a recipe that does not call for this. I found it!! Plus, they are delicious! Enjoy!

Ingredients For snickerdoodles

1/2 cbutter
-
3/4 csugar

1egg
-
1 1/4 cflour
-
1 1/2 tspbaking powder

1/4 tspsalt
- TOPPING

1 Tbspsugar

1 tspcinnamon
How To Make snickerdoodles

1Cream butter; add sugar & mix thoroughly.

2Sift flour, baking powder & salt; stir into mixture.

3Form dough into balls about the size of walnuts & roll in mixture of sugar & cinnamon.

4Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

5Bake 8 - 10 minutes at 400 degrees
