Easy to make and delicious. They are great made with bourbon too. Can be made with orange juice, if no alcohol is desired.

Ingredients For rum balls

  • 1 c
    semisweet chocolate chips, melted
  • 1/3 c
    powdered sugar
  • 3 Tbsp
    corn syrup
  • 1/3 c
    rum or bourbon or orange juice
  • 2 -1/2 c
    vanilla wafer crumbs or chocolate wafer crumbs
  • 1 c
    walnuts, finely chopped
  • 3 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    unsweetened cocoa

How To Make rum balls

    Combine melted chocolate, powdered sugar, corn syrup and rum or bourbon. Stir in wafer crumbs and walnuts, blending well. Let stand 30 minutes. Shape into 1 inch balls.

    In a small bowl, combine cocoa and sugar. Roll balls in cocoa mixture. Set aside to air dry for about an hour. Store in an airtight container at least 1 day before serving.
