Ingredients For persimmon cookies

1 cpersimmon pulp (aprox. 2 persimmons)

1 tspbaking soda

1/2 cshortening
-
1 cgranulated sugar

1egg, beaten

2 call purpose flour, sifted

1/2 tspcinnamon

1/2 tspnutmeg
-
1/2 tspground cloves
-
1/2 tspsalt

1 cwalnuts, chopped
How To Make persimmon cookies

1Preheat oven to 350º

2Press persimmon pulp through a sieve and measure. Dissolve baking soda to pulp.

3In a large mixing bowl, cream shortening, sugar, and egg; mix well.

4Add remaining ingredients and pulp to the creamed mixture; mix well.

5Drop cookie dough by teaspoon onto cookie sheet.

6Bake for 10-12 minutes.
