pecan fingers
These are a variation of recipes I have seen for Mexican Wedding Cookies or Russian Tea Cakes. My Mom made these every Christmas-regardless of the name, they are delicious bite sized treats!

Ingredients For pecan fingers

1/2 lbbutter, room temperature (2 sticks)

4 Tbsppowdered sugar

2 call purpose flour
-
1 Tbspwater
-
2 tspvanilla extract
-
2 cpecan pieces (small pieces work best)
- FOR AFTER COOKIES ARE BAKED

1 1/2 cpowdered sugar
How To Make pecan fingers

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cover cookie sheets with parchment paper or grease the cookie sheets.

2Mix all ingredients in a large bow. Mix well. Form dough into 1" fingers or balls.

3Bake for 20-25 minutes (depending on your oven). Let cool 5-7 minutes, then roll cookies in powdered sugar to coat while still warm. Note: I usually roll them twice to get good coverage. Store in covered container in a cool place.
