This is a spritz-style adaptation of the Danish Pebernødder.
Blue Ribbon Recipe
Spice up your holiday cookie tray with these Peberkiks. Peberkiks are a spritz version of the traditional Danish Pebernødder (Peppernut cookie). This spritz cookie is filled with holiday spices like cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, and ginger. They're buttery, melt in your mouth, and easy to make. Just press the cookie dough into different shapes, bake them, and decorate. Besides sprinkling with Turbinado or sanding sugar, these can be decorated with sprinkles and candies like traditional spritz cookies.
