My friends Mother has an avocado tree and gave me this recipe at first I thought oh my umm but at the same time very interesting so I made them and by our surprise they are a must try, they were gone in minutes, I used pastel M&M's because I didn't have raisins and pecans, I didn't have walnuts, but the next time I did make them with raisins and either way they are amazing, I hope you enjoy, let me know what you think

Ingredients For my friends avocado cookies

  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 stick
    butter, room temperature
  • 1
    egg slightly beaten
  • 1 c
    avocado/mashed or chopped
  • 1 c
    walnuts
  • 1 c
    raisins
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp
    clove, ground (optional)
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder

How To Make my friends avocado cookies

  • 1
    in a bowl cream together egg, 1 stick of butter OR 1 cup of margarine and sugar add avocado blend well, add vanilla, sift together flour,baking powder, salt and spices, stir in nuts {I used pecans} and raisins {I used M&M's}drop by teaspoonful onto a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake in 350 oven for 10-15 minutes
