Ingredients For macadamia lemon bars

1 call purpose flour

1/4 cconfectioners' sugar

1/2 cbutter, melted (1 stick)

1/4 cchopped macadamia nuts
- FILLING:

1 csugar
-
2 Tbspall purpose flour

1/2 tspbaking powder
-
1/4 tspsalt

2eggs
-
2 Tbsplemon juice
-
2 tspgrated lemon peel
-
2 Tbspchopped macadamia nuts

confectioners' sugar
How To Make macadamia lemon bars

1In a large bowl, mix the flour, confectioners' sugar and melted butter until crumbly; stir in the macadamia nuts.

2Press onto the bottom and 1/2 inch up the sides of a greased 8-in.-square baking dish. Bake in a preheated 350º oven for 15-20 minutes or until light brown.

3Meanwhile, in a small bowl, whisk sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Beat in the eggs, lemon juice and lemon peel until blended.

4Pour the filling over the hot crust. Sprinkle with macadamia nuts.

5Bake 10-15 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely on a wire rack. Cut into bars. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar. Refrigerate leftovers.
