This is a recipe brought from Switzerland by my Grandmother and made by all her sisters as well. To me, it can't be Christmas without Grandmother's Lebkuchen so I usually bake it first. It gets better with age.

Ingredients For lebkuchen

2 cbrown sugar, firmly packed

3 lgeggs

1 cwalnuts, chopped

1/2 ccandied citron, chopped

1/2 tspground cloves

2 tspcinnamon

1 tspsoda

1/3 choney, warmed

3 cflour
How To Make lebkuchen

1Beat brown sugar & eggs for five minutes in bowl of electric mixer

2Disolve soda in hot honey and add to brown sugar mix

3Add spices to flour and add to brown sugar mix. Then fruit and nuts.

4Mixture will be thick. Pour into jelly roll pan and bake in 325* oven for 25 - 30 minutes.

5When cool, frost with a powdered sugar glaze.
