A delicious recipe given to me by my mom. Not sure where it originated, but it's a summertime favorite.

Ingredients For iced tea cookies

2 1/2 stickbutter
-
1 cbrown sugar

6-7 Tbspinstant iced tea (regular or flavored, i like lemon)

1egg yolk
-
2 tspvanilla extract

2 1/4 cflour
- FOR GLAZE:

1 cpowdered sugar
-
5 tsphot water or milk
-
1/4 tspvanilla extract
How To Make iced tea cookies

1Preheat oven to 350° F.

2Beat butter and sugar in large mixer bowl until light and fluffy. Beat in tea, egg yolk and vanilla extract. Gradually stir in flour. Drop by heaping teaspoon 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets.

3Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly golden. Cool & brush with glaze. Cool completely prior to serving.

4To make the glaze, combine all ingredients, and let thicken before brushing over cookies.
