foothill house sweet dream cookies
I found this recipe in a little church cookbook put out by the ladies of the church back in the 1980s. These cookies are so good!

Ingredients For foothill house sweet dream cookies

1 cunsalted butter, softened

1 1/2 cpacked light brown sugar

1egg, room temperature

1 tspvanilla

2 cunbleached all-purpose flour

1 tspbaking soda

1 tspcinnamon

1 tspground ginger
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
1 pkg(12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cchopped walnuts

1 cpowdered sugar
How To Make foothill house sweet dream cookies

1Using mixer, cream butter. Beat in brown sugar, egg and vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger and salt. Blend into butter mixture. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts. Refrigerate until firm. (Can be prepared a day ahead.)

2Preheat oven to 375. Lightly grease baking sheets. Break off small pieces of dough, roll into 1-inch rounds. Dredge in powdered sugar.

3Arrange on cookie sheet, spacing at least 2 inches apart. Bake 10 minutes. Let cool at least 5 minutes on sheets. Transfer to racks and cool. Store in airtight container.
