cream cheese sugar cookies
My family loves these cookies! They surely are "the best" sugar cookie you will ever have. They are also great to make for that very special someone for Valentine's Day, Chritsmas, or for any occasion. I found this recipe in one of those Pillsbury booklet/baking magazine's from back in the 80's.

Ingredients For cream cheese sugar cookies

1 csugar

1/2 tspsalt

1 cbutter, softened

1 (3 oz.)pkg. cream cheese, softened

1/2 tspalmond extract
-
1/2 tspvanilla extract

1egg yolk
-
2-1/4 call-purpose, or self rising flour
How To Make cream cheese sugar cookies

1In a large bowl, combine the first 7 ingredients; blend well.

2Stir in the flour.

3Chill dough 2 to 3 hours in the refrigerator.

4Heat oven to 350 degrees.

5On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough, a third at a time (an 1/8 to 1/4-inch thickness).

6Cut into desired shapes, with lightly floured cookie cutters.

7Place 1-inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.

8Sprinkle with sugar, if desired.

9Bake 7 to 10 minutes, or until lightly golden brown around the edges.

10Cool, frost, and decorate cookies.

11Note: This recipe will also make 66 (3-inch) Valentine Cookies.
