Everyone loves these cookies! I have used mini M&M's, regular, and peanut butter so far. I use regular most often.

Ingredients For chocolate m&m cookies

  • 1 c
    butter flavor shortening
  • 1 c
    granulated sugar
  • 3/4 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 lg
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2 1/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/3 c
    cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 3/4 c
    m&m's candies of your choice, i usually use regular
  • 1 c
    chopped walnuts(optional)

How To Make chocolate m&m cookies

    Preheat oven to 350 Cream shortening and sugars in a large bowl until well blended.

    Beat in eggs and vanilla until combined.

    In separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Slowly stir into mixture and stir until well combined

    Fold in M&M's and walnuts(optional) Line baking pan with parchment paper. Bake for 7-8 minutes. Let rest on pan for 1 minute before removing to cooling rack to cool completely.
