oreo cookie bark
Oreo bark is a quick and easy sweet treat. I like to use double stuffed chocolate Oreo cookies, but you can use any of the Oreo cookie flavors for a different taste. For Halloween, I tint the melted bark orange just before adding the cookies, and I also use the Oreo cookies with the orange filling. Serving size can vary. This recipe only uses 1/2 package of cookies, but you might as well buy and extra package of bark and make a second batch because it won't last long!

Ingredients For oreo cookie bark
-
1/2 package of oreo cookies, any flavor (approx. 1½ rows of a 1 pound package)
-
1 package of white bark or almond bark (approx. 1lb. 8oz. package)
How To Make oreo cookie bark
-
1Line a large jelly roll pan, or cookie sheet with waxed paper. Coat the waxed paper with a non-stick spray, or you can also lightly oil it. Set aside.
-
2Break half of the package of cookies (crème filling and all) into coarse pieces. You can do this procedure anyway you like. A couple of ways are… put the cookies in a large baggie and zip it shut. Then take a rolling pin and crush the cookies in the bag into course pieces. You can also put them in a food processor and pulse a second or two. Set aside.
-
3In a microwave safe glass bowl, melt one package of the white bark. Remove from microwave and stir in the broken cookie pieces. Pour mixture into prepared pan; spreading it over the entire pan. Refrigerate until solid.
-
4Flip over the pan of bark onto a large cutting board and peel off the wax paper. Cut bark with large knife to break into pieces. Store bark in an airtight container.
