homemade butterfinger candy
(2 ratings)
My mother and I made these for years before she passed away. I now do them every Christmas for family and friends. This is a cooked recipe that can be a little tricky but is well worth the trouble once you get the hang of it.

How To Make homemade butterfinger candy
-
1Cook sugar, white corn syrup and water to 300 degrees. It is best to use a small heavy cooker.
-
2Pour over peanut butter and mix. I use a heavy glass mixing bowl and a wooden spoon.
-
3Place on several sheets of wax paper and form into long rolls. Cut with scissors into bite size pieces. You must do this really fast. If it starts to cool it doesn't cut good. Use heavy rubber gloves to protect your hands.
-
4Wait several hours or overnight and dip in chocolate coating.
