I love cinnamon...absolutely love it. This is my stepmothers recipe passed to her by her mother. I have been chomping at the bit to get my hands on it. Finally, this year during Christmas break, scoreboard!

Ingredients For cinnamon glass candy

  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 3/4 c
    white karo syrup
  • 1 c
    water
  • 1/2 tsp
    red food coloring
  • 1
    vile cinnamon oil (.125 oz)
  • powdered sugar

How To Make cinnamon glass candy

  • 1
    On low heat, cook sugar, Karo and water until sugar is dissolved.
  • 2
    Once sugar is dissolved, heat rapidly without stirring to 285 degrees.

    Remove from heat and stir in food coloring and cinnamon oil.
  • 4
    Quickly pour mixture into greased cookie sheet, spread thin and allow to cool.
  • 5
    Once cool, break into pieces and add to ziplock bag with powdered sugar to prevent sticking.
