wash day cake

I got this recipe from a post on our local FB page. It comes from "Recipes From Days Gone By". There was no other credit listed. This cake is very moist and makes a pretty red cake with a crunchy topping. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream. I shared with some neighbors and he told me this morning at church that it was delicious. Bill liked it too, so I thought I would share with JAP. I forget about taking a picture until it is almost gone. I will take one of what is left.
