Ingredients For streusel coffeecake

  • 32
    chips ahoy chocolate chip cookies, divided
  • 1 pkg
    yellow or white cake mix
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • 1/2 c
    pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    flaked coconut
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 c
    margarine or butter, melted
  • powdered suar glaze, optional

How To Make streusel coffeecake

    Coarsely chop 20 cookies; finely crush remaining 12 cookies. Set aside.

    Prepare cake mix batter according to package directions; blend in sour cream. Stir in chopped cookies. Pour batter into greased and floured 13x9x3 inch baking pan.

    Mix cookie crumbs, pecans, coconut, brown sugar and cinnamon; stir in butter. sprinkle over cake batter. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool Completely. Drizzle with powdered sugar glaze if desired.
