Ingredients For strawberry upside down cake

  • 2 Tbsp
    butter melted
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 2 c
    fresh hulled sliced strawberries
  • 1 1/3 c
    flour
  • 2/3 c
    sugar
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 2/3 c
    milk
  • 1/4 c
    butter softened
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla

How To Make strawberry upside down cake

  • 1
    In a 9 inch round pan pour 2 tbsp. melted butter. Top with brown sugar. Add sliced strawberries and set aside.

    Mix remaining ingredients together. Pour over strawberries and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

    Remove from oven and allow to cool a bit. Turn out upside down onto serving plate. Top with whip cream if desired
