I love cheese danish, but it can be hard to make. So I came up w/ an easier way to make them and oh, yum! Are they delicious! I swear, I've already gained 5 lbs just by making these, lol.

Ingredients For sherry's cheese danish squares

28 oz cans refrigerated crescent rolls

1 lgegg, separated
-
28 oz pkgs reduced-fat cream cheese, softened

1 csugar
-
1 tsplemon juice
-
1 tspvanilla
-
3/4 cchopped pecans
-
powdered sugar for dusting
How To Make sherry's cheese danish squares

1Heat oven to 375. Lightly spray a 9" x 13" baking pan w/ cooking spray. In lg bowl, beat egg yolk, cream cheese, sugar, lemon juice and vanilla until smooth.

2Unroll 1 can rolls, press dough into bottom of pan.make sure to pinch seals together. Spread cream cheese mix over dough. Open 2nd can of rolls, press dough into a rectangle.

3Place dough over cream cheese mix. In small bowl, whisk egg white until frothy. Brush egg white over dough. Sprinkle w/ pecans. Bake 25 mins. Sprinkle w/ powdered sugar. Cut into squares.
