Ingredients For romance cake

  • 1 c
    flour
  • 1/4 c
    butter, room temperature
  • 3 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 c
    coconut
  • 1/2 c
    walnuts
  • 3 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 3
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    cut up dates

How To Make romance cake

  • 1
    Mix and pat into 8 x 8 pan, pricking with fork to prevent blisters, the first 3 ingredients. Bake at 350* for 15 minutes. Mix the next 9 ingredients, and spread on first mixture. Bake 20 minutes more and serve with whipped cream, or a powdered sugar , orange juice and butter icing.
